It is a good idea to read the information in this board because this board contains the rules and plot and other things that will be helpful to you. It'll help you become familiar with the forum and how things are run around here.

Here is where staff can easily inform the members of important events and news regarding SOL.

The applications for your characters go here. Make sure you read the rules carefully and know what the site's about before joining. Do not claim anything or post anywhere until your application has been accepted by one of the staff members. You may reserve character related things, if it's stated that you can do so.

All the different claims that need to be done will be found here. Make sure you post in claim and you don't post until after your application has been accepted, unless you're reserving.

Once your application has been approved, it will be moved here.

Is your character(s) plotless? Well I'm sure that if you posted a thread, some members would be willing to plot with your character(s). Relationship plot pages can be found here too.

Some characters on the island may have a journal to write all their thoughts down. When they can't talk to each other about their feelings and the troubles that they're going through, a journal is a good place for them to vent. Create a new thread for your character's journal and get writing away.

Want to expand on your character's past? Do so here by writing flashbacks of your characters history. Let us see why they are the way they are today. What is it about their pasts that they can't let go, but probably should? One thread per each character should be created, not one thread per flashback.

Create a thread to keep track of your characters and what threads they're apart of. Keep all your characters in one thread. Here you'll also find a timeline of the survivors time on the island that will help everyone understand where we are in the current plot.

Located on the northern beach of the island is the crash site of the plane. The wreckage of the plane is scattered all over the beach, but if you look past it you will discover the beauty of the bay that this beach is located within. But I'd watch out for the reef if I was you, there are very sharp rocks that lie under the surface of the water.

Down the shore of the northern beach lies the campsite of the survivors. They have managed to salvage what they can from the plane to create tents and other uses in order for them to survive. While sleeping on the ground and making do with the things that they have is considered to be a hard thing, the campsite can be quite charming and relaxing with the sound of the waves at their tent doorsteps.

Quite a large portion of the island is inhabited by a large quantity of trees and other natural things. While alot of the jungle has yet to be explored, the survivors have discovered that the jungle is a good place for hunting due to the many animals that lurk within the trees. Just be careful, there is much more to learn about this vast jungle.

South down the shore of the campsite, lies a large cliff that towers over the deep ocean surrounding the island. While the cliff is located next to a beach, the only safe way up to it's peak is through the jungle. But you'll come to find that the long hike up to the top was well worth it once you get a look of the marvelous view of the ocean. Still, while the cliff provides some amazing views, don't get too close to the edge, or the sharp rocks at the bottom just might break your fall.

Practically every where you look on the island you will discover the massive amount of mountains that reside on the island. They're not hard to miss. While the survivors have obviously noticed these mountains, they have yet to be explored. Some have sworn that they have seen smoke rising from some of the mountains, which could mean that there are some active volcanoes on the island...

Smack bang in the middle of a group of mountains lies a large open valley that is covered with grass. While the survivors haven't discovered too many uses for this open space, it is still a good way to hike if you want to avoid as much jungle as possible.

On the other side of the island, away from the survivors camp is a grand waterfall of great heights. To normal sight you would just think of it as a beautiful waterfall, but to the Island Inhabitants, behind the waterfall is a secret entry way into the valley where they live.

Beyond the waterfall lies a beautiful valley where the Island Inhabitants reside. In the center of the valley is a crystal clear lake that proves to be an excellent place to swim and relax.

On the western side of the island is another magnificent beach where the Island Inhabitants like to roam. Whether they're fishing or swimming, it's a great place to be.

Just down the shore of the western beach is the only dock on the island. This dock is off limits at all times except when people need to leave or come back to the island, which is rarely. The dock has several boats that can travel far across the sea, but they are locked up at all times they aren't in use.

Talk about anything with fellow members here. It's a good way to get to know other members even more. In here you will also find an introduction board (for newbies to get to know the members a little bit better) and a games board to give you a bit of a break from role playing.
